Raised in the heart of the Alps, Ilir Osmani, has had nothing but inspiration out in his backyard ever since he began to ski at the age of 4. At the young age of 16 he entered his first freeride comp for fun and wowed his friends and peers when he took 2nd place. Feeling not quite ready to take it to the next level and compete with the worlds best, he turned his attention to another discipline and honed in his racing skills competing in skier cross. His lucky break came when Swiss ski company, Movement Skis, started up and was looking for new young blood to help promote their freeride line of skis. Working closely with Movement the last 9 years, Ilir has had an influential say in the development of their biggest and baddest freeride skis. Not only has his design feedback been a constant at the Swiss ski company but so have his images. Working closely with Canadian photographer, Yves Garneau, he has had numerous publications including 2 cover shots on big American ski magazines, not to mention been a regular poster boy for the exploding Swiss ski brand. When not out opening big lines in his home resort or shooting with filmers and photographers, Ilir can be found ice climbing, rock climbing or motor-crossing around his home turf, Val d'Iliez.
